The Ohio Traffic Safety Office reminds us: Under Ohio law, drivers must stop when a school bus is dropping off or picking up students. School bus drivers who see someone run the stop sign will report the vehicle’s license plate number and incident location to law enforcement, which could lead to criminal charges. #STOPmeansSTOP

Good afternoon, Rocket families!
This is Erika Bower, Superintendent of Ridgedale Local Schools, where our mission is to empower students to reach their full potential while focusing on learning, safety, partnerships with our community, and fiscal responsibility.
This week, we are in the final preparations to welcome our students and staff back to school! Thank you to our community for joining us on Friday for our Meet the Team and Family Fun Night!
The regular Board of Education meeting is tomorrow, Monday, August 12 at 5:30pm. Golf competes at Waynesfield Goshen, and high school volleyball scrimmages at home on Monday as well. Drug Testing will take place on Tuesday, August 13 from 9-10am. Orientation for 6th graders is on Wednesday, August 14 from 6-7:30pm, and high school volleyball scrimmages at Mt. Vernon. On Friday, high school football will scrimmage at New Miami. On Saturday, August 17, junior high volleyball kicks off their regular season at home. Open House for all grades will take place on Monday, August 19 from 4-6pm, and the cross country teams compete at the Northmor Invite. The first day of school for students will be Tuesday, August 20. Remember that kindergarteners have a staggered start for the first few days while preschool starts on Monday, August 26.

This calling system is the system we use for delays, cancellations, and emergencies. If you have a student in the district and are not receiving these calls, but can see them on our website, please contact Mrs. Kristy Garver at the district office.
If you are interested in substituting for our district in a variety of roles such as teacher, secretary, cafeteria, custodian, and aide, please apply on our website. Do you have a CDL Class B or are you willing to train to get this certification? Please contact Mrs. Robin Townsend, our transportation supervisor. We are actively searching for a bus driver and substitute drivers. We would love to have you on our team!
