This is Erika Bower, Superintendent of Ridgedale Local Schools, where our mission is to empower students to reach their full potential while focusing on learning, safety, partnerships with our community, and fiscal responsibility.
It’s here! We are excited to welcome our students back to another fantastic school year! Be sure to stop into our open house and support time for all grades tomorrow, Monday, August 19 from 4-6pm. You can support a local food truck, Steak-N-It, for dinner, and the softball team by purchasing from Kona Ice for dessert. The cross country teams compete at the Northmor Invite on Monday as well. The first day of school for students will be Tuesday, August 20. Remember that kindergarteners have a staggered start for the first few days while preschool starts on Monday, August 26. On Wednesday, high school volleyball will play at Ridgemont. Jr. high football scrimmages at Perry on Thursday, and the golf team competes at North Baltimore. On Friday, varsity football plays at Hilltop. JV football plays on Saturday at Perry. High school volleyball plays at Pleasant for a quad match on Saturday, junior high volleyball plays at home, and cross country competes at Seneca East.
We are proud to be a small district doing big things, so be sure to keep up to date with all of the news and events by using our website, Google Calendar, and social media.
This calling system is the system we use for delays, cancellations, and emergencies. If you have a student in the district and are not receiving these calls, but can see them on our website, please contact Mrs. Kristy Garver at the district office.
If you are interested in substituting for our district in a variety of roles such as teacher, secretary, cafeteria, custodian, and aide, please apply on our website. Do you have a CDL Class B or are you willing to train to get this certification? Please contact me, Erika Bower. We are actively searching for a bus driver and substitute drivers. We would love to have you on our team!
