Lead Teachers (1 forJr. High program; 2 for Elementary program)
● Up to 29 hours per week while the program is in session, from October-June, but not during the month of May
● Being on-site prepped and ready for after-school program; being ready to go with teaching daily lesson(s); having lesson plans ready for other teachers
● Aware of the plan for the week/day
● Tutoring students/organizing tutoring groups to help students with learning gaps
● Organizing other Tutors and Program Assistants so as best to utilize everyone’s skills and help as many students as possible
● Manage student behavior and create a fun and safe environment for all
● Program hours will be consistent per week that are directly with the 21st Century program, other Youth Development hours are designed for the next week, can include responsibilities like data entry, Family Engagement planning/events, Licensing/Training requirements, or Culture Care items
● Need to have or able to get a certified license; social work or education experience preferred
● Paid hourly according to license (Certified $25/hour, Classified $20/hour), able to be on-site during after-school programming (following school schedule)
● Will need to be open to working on additional training requirements
● One-year contract
