Weekly Update

Good afternoon, Rocket families!

This is Erika Bower, Superintendent of Ridgedale Local Schools, where our mission is to empower students to reach their full potential while focusing on learning, safety, partnerships with our community, and fiscal responsibility. I am sending this weekly update out early as you may be busy on this long weekend!

If you are looking for something to do tomorrow, don’t forget we are hosting the Dave Schorr Track Meet starting at 10am. This always promises to be a grand event! The girls’ softball team is also playing a doubleheader tomorrow at Northmor starting at 11am.

Remember, there is no school on Monday, April 10 as we will enjoy the rest of our spring break!

Please remember to drive slowly and cautiously in our parking lots. Spring has sprung, and our campus is busier than ever with softball, baseball, and track.

The Junior Class and parent/guardian meeting has been rescheduled for Tuesday, April 11 at 6pm in the high school library.

Ohio State Testing for students in grades 3 and up is starting. 6th grade ELA part I will be on Wednesday, April 12 and part II will be on Thursday, April 13. 8th grade ELA will be on Friday, April 14. Please check the calendar on our website for all testing dates.

In partnership with Community Counseling and Wellness Center, we will be offering our second counseling clinic on Wednesday, April 12, from 8am-11am. There will be three appointments available, so please contact Michelle Warwick as soon as possible to reserve your spot. Mental health counselors and intake specialists will be on-site to complete registration and diagnostic assessments. The student and legal guardian must be present.

The mobile dentist will be here on April 13 if you signed your child up for this service!

The 8th Grade Breakfast will take place on May 17 from 8am-11am in the jr/sr high gym.

Preschool registration is still available for the 2023-24 school year. Information and applications are available on our website.

Be sure to check our website or download the app to keep up to date with all news, athletics, and events!

Thank you for all you do for our students, our staff, and our community! Make it a great week, and Go, Rockets!
